SATAN AGAINST OUR FAITH

Nothing on earth is more powerful than the Holy Spirit flowing through the faith of a born again disciple of Jesus . Nothing. It is the greatest superpower available to anyone anywhere. Through faith nothing is impossible . When a Christian is full of Spirit-empowered faith, he cannot stop and cannot  be  stopped speaking about what he has seen and heard. Not even death can silence him. This means that nothing is more humanly destructive to the domain of darkness than a faith-filled Christian. Through him, Jesus destroys the devil’s works. The only thing Satan’s forces fear more than the vibrant faith of  a  Christian is the unified, collaborative, vibrant faith of a community of Christians. But we do have one vulnerability: unbelief. It weakens us and can destroy us. And Satan knows this very well. Satan’s primary goal in the thousands of his various attacks on us is to take down our faith. His primary goal against the church is to fragment the formidable ...

TRUSTING GOD

Faith In God Faith in God - A Pure Perspective Our faith in  God is bolstered by the evidence  and grounded in a  transformed life . However, the simplicity of our faith is summed-up best by the innocence of a pure heart. Here's an essay written by an eight-year-old... God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this.  The fact that with God ‘all things are possible’ is proven by the fact that God created the entire universe out of nothing. The writer of Proverbs says, ‘By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew’ (Proverbs 3:19–20). The Gift of Our Trust If we foolishly assume that our Father has no right to our trust unless he makes his inf...

2 CORINTHIANS 5:7

WALK BY FAITH We walk by faith, not by sight’. By the words ‘we walk’, Paul means how we live*. Therefore, the meaning is:   ‘We live by faith, not by sight’. That may seem an extraordinary way to live. God gives us both our sight and our faith. Our sight guides us through this present world. It directs very many of our decisions. However, what we see is not always the truth. Our sight can confuse us; it can even cause us to make wrong and foolish decisions. The problem with sight is that it only shows us the surface of things. It gives us an impression;  it does not show the reality to us.  For example, our sight may show us our present troubles in this world. However, it cannot show us the wonderful things that God has prepared for us in heaven. Clearly, we cannot depend upon our sight alone. Paul says that  God has provided something better to guide us: faith. Faith can mean belief; however, Paul was very aware of the dangers of wrong beliefs. He would never ...

TODAY'S READING (AUGUST 26-8-18)

For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,     so in Christ we, though many, form one body,  and each member belongs to all the others.     We have different gifts,  according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying,  then prophesy in accordance with your faith;   if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;     if it is to encourage, then give encouragement;  if it is giving, then give generously;  if it is to lead,do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.                                                                                                   ...
